Pixar may 'unHollywood' Disney
Pixar succeeded by breaking the Hollywood business model. It employed producers, directors, writers, etc., long-term instead of just for one movie at a time. This created a tightknit company of collaborators who stick together and strive to improve with every production. Pixar brings that model to Disney and may spread it to the rest of Hollywood.

Full House
At Taco Rosa last night, Dennis spoke of an interesting thing. He described how his house was the night before. He has three children: 2 daugthers and a new-born son. He has his in-laws visiting: his mother-in-law and father-in-law. He had his Nanny present (she apparently has a big tattoo of a star on her wrist or something & she is an American, which is unusual). He also had someone over that was trying to have him sign his mortgage papers for his re-fi. He told of all these things with a great sense of contentment on his face. His home was all a bustle and it made him happy. Was it because he felt like he was the commander in chief and it felt good to have this microcosm revolve around him? or did he just like the feeling of energy and people in his proximity? He once mentioned his sense of pleasure when the office was full of workers with each individual interacting with one another, pushing the company peanut forward, without his direct presence or influence.

Steph by the fountain
I took this picture of Steph with John's camera. If you scroll down you'll see me in a red t-shirt taking someone's picture. That was this picture I was taking.
The fountain had words in it that said "integrity" and "wellbeing." I like this picture because you only can see the word "grity." Steph is "grity" in my book. Of course there is no such word as "grity," only "gritty." I suppose she is "gritty" too.

Union Station
John, Steph and I paid a visit to Union Station. It's a really old train station that was built in the 1940's. The wide angle perspective here makes it look a lot bigger than it really is. I was a bit disappointed, actually. Or maybe, all the imagery I've seen built the place up in my mind.
